26th Juyl, Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar |
Tour begins: At the airport in Ulaanbaatar you will be met by our vehicle and transferred to your hotel. City orientation tour, visit Sukhbaatar Square (there is a Great Chinggis Khaan's Memorial complex) for city orientation. Visit o National History Museum of Mongolia to get historical knowledge of the country. |
27th July, Day 2: Terelj National Park Outstanding Natural Scenery and wildlife |
At 09 a.m. you will depart for the Khan Khentii Protected Area (about 60km). Turtle Rock and the dinosaur statues are the main attractions. Relax in national Ger in the beautiful Khan Khentii Landscape. B/L/D |
28th July, Day 3: Visit in the nomadic Family |
After lunch drive to nomadic family. Now visit nomadic family. Learn their everyday life, horse riding, cow milking and dairy product producing. You will return to the Ger camp in the evening for dinner and overnight at a Ger camp. (B/L/D) |
29th July, Day 4: Visitthe Chinggis Cavalry Rides Again show |
After breakfast drive to Undur Dov about 120km. Visit Mongolian Steppe. Afternoon drive to Chinggis Khaan’s Cavalry rides again place about 5 km. Visit the Chinggis Khaan’s Cavalry Rides Again show. Dinner in Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in the ****hotel. (B/L/D) |
30-31stJuly, Days 5-6: Ulaanbaatar - Bayan-Olgii |
Flight to Ulgii, the center of Bayan-Olgii province. Visit the Olgii province museum and the Muslim mosque of Kazakhs in Mongolia. Half day lecture on Solar Eclipse. Visit Eagle Hunter's and see their lifestyle. (B/L/D) |
1st Aug, Day 7: The day of the Solar Eclipse |
We will drive to a spot, where the eclipse is viewed the best. Enjoy the eclipse. (B/L/D) |
2nd Aug, Day 8: Olgii - Ulaanbaatar |
After breakfast fly back to Ulaanbaatar. Dinner at the Modern Nomads restaurant /Mongolian national food, modern and comfortable. Overnight in *** hotel. (B/L) |
3rd Aug, Day 9: South Gobi |
Early morning fly to Juulchin gobi-1, Omnogobi Province (580km, 1.20 hours). On arrival at the airstrip in the Gobi you will be met by our driver and jeep and taken to the ger camp for lunch. After lunch sightseeing and walking at the beautiful Eagle Valley or Yoliin Am, Gurvan Saikhan Uul. This is about 40 km from your ger camp and will take about one hour drive. The valley is a about 10km long and is completely shaded from the sun in some parts due to the high cliff walls. It is possible to walk through the valley and out the other side. Also full of soaring eagles hunting for prey. At the opening of the valley is the afternoon will be leisure in the Gobi for exploring the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight at the ger camp. 4-5th Aug, 10-11: Khongorin els (sand dune) |
After breakfast drive to Khongorin els (180km). Sightseeing and walking at the Khongor els (sand dune). Trekking to Bayan burd and Khongoriin gol (river). Visit a camel breeding family and learn about their nomadic lifestyle. Admire the beautiful Gobi landscape. Drive back to ger camp. Overnight in ger camp. (B/L/D) |
6th Aug, Day 12: Flaming cliffs “Bayanzag" |
After breakfast drive to the Bayanzag (180+64 km) and the nearby Sakhal forest and sand dunes. Bayanzag is an area of red cliffs, which formed from the erosion of sand and rock over many thousands of years. It also the site of several successful dinosaur excavations. And visit Moltsog Els (sand dune). Take a packed lunch from the Ger camp and return to the camp for dinner and overnight. (B/L/ D) |
7th Aug, Day 13: Free time in Ulaanbaatar |
After breakfast return flight to Ulaanbaatar. At the airport in Ulaanbaatar you will be met by our vehicle and transferred to your hotel. Today will be a day of guided sightseeing in UB, including shopping and free time. You will lunch at the Modern Nomads restaurant. Overnight in *** hotel. (B/L/D) |
8th Aug, Day 14: Journey Home |
