Mongolia was to be only a short extension from a China Yangtze River cruise-tour we took in May 2000, but we had such a wonderful experience in our four days there that we're planning to return again for a longer look at this unique, out-of-the-way, Central Asian country. The trip was booked through the Princess Lodge Company for a reasonable $55 per person, which included all transport and meals. My husband, Ron, and I were picked up at 8 a.m. Saturday morning a jeep and driven into the countryside, with another 4-wheel-drive van accompanying us as a supply vehicle. We watched summer gers being constructed and admired the wildflowers in the greening grass. By 4 p.m. Sunday we returned to our hotel -" tired, but happy with our remarkable, quick journey to Mongolia . We found these descendants of the fierce Khan tribesmen to be warm, hospitable and friendly and recommend them highly -" as guides and as companions. We'll be returning in July 2001 to take their 10-day wild nature and ethnic adenture tour to the Gobi Desert and the ruins of Karakoram.

We made a breah in our Trans Mongolian Train. These 3 days were like paradise. Ger is great, nature amazing and people very friendly. We really enjoyed this bobble of oxygen. Hope to come back soon, perhaps here… perhaps in Gobi… but sure in Mongolia ! Thanks a lot, we had a lot of fun and really enjoyed it.Typhaine (French / Russia )

We enjoyed our stay in nature very much. We prefer this camp at its lonely site and with its simplicity to the other ones we have seen on the way. Everything is nice and clean. Staff is very friendly and concerned about our welfare. We liked the fires in the ger and the sauna. Riding was a very nice experience, too. We came here to see the Nomad's life, so try to keep our camp as near to tradition as possible. Don't get too comfortable. It doesn't have to be a city standard hotel! Thanks a lot for everything!

We came, we lain, and were conquered by like beauty by like Mongolian hearts and heartland. God is great to have given much lovely place.

My family, and a good friend of ours, arrived at this lovely place. We were mixed by the rocks and the dense forests. Before I came to Mongolia, I always thought Mongolia was an “OK” place and noting great, but now, I know I take rade a mitzahe, Mongolia is one of the most beautiful places. I have ever visited. Thank cod I came here.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Princess Lodge. I have never been so impressed by a country as I am by Mongolia . The countryside, the people, everything is so beautiful and completely unique. At the camp, the standards were excellent wonderful food, ger, warm bed and a lovely warm stove every evening. Horse riding out the woods was fantastic and they took such good care of this very inexperienced rider! It is most definitely an experience I will remember forever the stars at night so clear, and so many and the milks way flawing above our heads. Also the silence, so welcome after a long year working complete peace. I could so a forever!

I will come back to Mongolia , sometime in the future.

Great Place! Great Place! Fantastic place! Perfect Place! Everyone should come to Princess Lodge. I had a really good time and the food war just EXQUISTTE, delicious…I can't find more adjectives to tell about this place! And the people who run this place, they ar so helpful, so are … In other wards: It was just like Paradise !

We are 12 ladies from Singapore . We enjoyed our stay here very much. The food and the service were wonderful. It has been the best stop so far on am Trans Siberian – Mongolian Journey. It is certainly an option for future trips :O)

A Dutch family came here with 2 girls (8&10 yrs). And we had a great time. We were treated like royalty in the Princess Lodge. Just after the visit of our future king and queen. We have enjoyed our stay in the camp, the comfortable gers with warm beds and nice food. Next time we will use the sauna more. We will tell our friends about this great place on the earth.

This camp is exactly what we were expecting. At the end of the world and with enough comfort. I stay with 3 children from 10 to 3 years old. We were very happy with the very good and clean bed, with the nice decoration of the ger (inside, outside), with the heating and warm regards.

I am sure I speak for the whole Fulcrum group when I say that we have had an unforgettable experience in Mongolia.  We couldn't have had such a remarkable time without the help of the Princess Lodge. Every staff member was very polity, friendly and pleasant. The food was excellent and even the vegetarians were very well catered for. The program itself gave the Fulcrum group an insight into real Mongolia and I know that everyone enjoyed it. We have had such a good time that hopefully Fulcrum will be able to return to Mongolia next year to do a similar thing.

Travelling through the Mongolia for 18 days, we have seen different tourist camps. For Italian people the food is very important. If you recrecommend to these camps more tasty foods for Italian tourists every thing will be OK! But this is only few of them /Princess Lodge/

Thanks for the nice stay. It were our first days in Mongolia and we enjoyed to stay in this wonderful place with friendly people. we loved the ride with the ox-cart: good way to experience the pristinely of this real nature. Unless the rainy weather we will look back on a very nice stay.

We had a wonderful 3 days, despite passing duds showers. We enjoyed Horseback riding and hiking in the beautiful countryside. The staff has been very attentive and friendly. A restful Holiday!

It's exactly what I was expecting. I enjoyed every moment I spend in Mongolia. The itinerary and organization were perfect. Timing was very good and I had time to see and appreciate all the places, views, museums, restaurants and more..
A special thank you to Naraa to welcome me the way he hid. Very good guide and very nice person. In just a few days, he was able to show me and tell me a lot about Mongolia. He knows his way around and make this trip very enjoyable. It was great!!! I will be my best to come back in Summer.

We have spent four wonderful days in Mongolia on a short visit organised by Anna and Tumee from Princess Lodge. The organisation has been excellent and we'd like to recommend Princess Lodge to anyone -" without hesitation. Anna arranged our itinerary and details at very short notice and everything has gone very smoothly. Our driver and guide have been very helpful guide with pleasant company. Tumee has been a delightful guide with a great sense of humour, excellent English and has a stylish eye when shopping! Tumees knowledge of Mongolian history, culture, politics, folklore and natural history is fantastic and we have enjoyed having him with enormity.
Anna and Tumee had no problems catering to our particular interests, medical needs and always ensured our safety, comfort and enjoyment.
The food in ger camp and in Ulaanbaatar was very good. A wonderful memory.

Our impressions about Mongolia
We quickly enjoyed on 10 days stay in Mongolia, from May 1-11, 2005. We found the Landscape beautiful, the joints comfortable and fantastic. Above all, we appreciated the kindness and hospitality of the Mongolian people very much.
The program was very well and arranged by Princess Lodge. The driver was excellent, both for his driving skills and knowledge of nature. The French-speaking guide was always very nice and helpful and helped us communication with the people.

Ce voyage est notre premier expérience en Mongolie. Ce fut une découverte trop brève mais le temps nous manquait. Nous avons été enthousiasmés par ces quelques jours passés dans ce pays encore très proche de la nature. Nous espèrons qu'il restera encore longtemps loin des effets néfastes du modernisme. L'accueil, très chaleureux. Guide et conductrice ont été plus que professionelles et charmantes. L'organisation a été remarquable. Nous reviendrons avec beaucoup de plaisir.

auf diesem Weg wollten wir zunaechst kurz mitteilen, dass wir wieder gut in Korea angekommen sind.
Wir wollten uns aber auf jeden Fall fuer die phantastische Organisation unserer Reise bedanken. Trotz der nur sehr kurzen Vorbereitungszeit hat alles prima geklappt, angefangen von der Abholung am Flughafen so frueh am Morgen bis zu den vielen Erklaerungen, die wir auf alle unseren vielen Fragen bekommen haben. Wir waren vor allem auch begeistert von dem tollen Team dass uns begleitet hat. Wir hatten sehr viel Spass mit Bolor und Dashzeveg und sie hoffentlich auch ein bisschen mit uns. Irgendwann hatten wir nicht mehr das Gefuehl, dass wir von Tourguides begleitet werden, sondern von zwei Freunden. In dieser Atmosphaere die Mongolei kennenlernen zu duerfen war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Bolor war uns eine unermuedliche Uebersetzerin und Wissenquelle fuer alle Fragen auch im kulturellen Bereich - selbst beim Ersatzkauf fuer nasse Turnschuhe war sie eine grosse Hilfe. Dash war nicht nur unser Fahrer, sondern auch wie ein Lexikon voller Anekdoten und Geschichten - staendig fuer eine nette Ueberraschung gut (z,B. mit einer Aufschrift auf unserem Ger (s. Photo)). Alleine wegen ihm haetten wir gerne viel mehr Mongolisch gesprochen. Er war klasse! Entsprechend sind wir jetzt auch etwas traurig, dass wir schon wieder zurueck in Korea sind und die Arbeit wieder losgeht. Also, noch einmal vielen Dank. Wir werden Princess Lodge jedem mit Interesse an der Mongolei weiter empfehlen.

Thanks for the wonderful trip we had with your company. We were impressed by the Mongolian hospitality. You were very helpful and made the trip so convenient by being with us from the time we arrived in UB till the time we left UB. Also thanks a lot for arranging the train ticket and I could attend office in time.
On the feedback, the organisation was too good for me to suggest improvements but here are our observations. You had arranged two gers for us where as one would have been sufficient. Same goes for some food orders. We will definitely use your services when we visit Mongolia next.

A note to command Princess Lodge.
For their service in providing, at very short notice (less than 24 hours) an unforgettable trip to the Gobi Desert. The organization was good, the food they provided excellent, the accommodation arranged very good, but it was then warmth and hospitality- true concern- which made all the difference. They worked overtime to ensure the guest's comfort - I felt very spoilt. I would unimpeachable use their services again.

All the DEGRANDIS family we are very happy about this Arin in Mongolia. The driver was very good (for driving and for this kind character). He also knows a lot of things about traditional Mongolian habits and a very good guide. Shortly speaking a very good team.
Bogi has always managed the situation in a spirit of kindness, helping us in any case, waiting for us the time necessary and giving us all the explanation we need.
The driver has always tried we are the most comfortable possible. He knows many things about Mongolia and helped us anytime in understanding this country.
